Beyond the Canvas is more than just an art walk; it is an extravaganza celebrating the many mediums of art and the vibrancy of the community. Art isn’t limited to the stroke of a brush or the frame of a canvas and our event will showcase just that. We welcome art admirers and collectors, performing art enthusiasts, and casual strollers to join us for this extraordinary evening!

Caldwell Snyder Gallery
Join us for a special reception celebrating the upcoming exhibition of artist Brad Howe, who will be attending in person. Enjoy wine provided by Folded Hills while taking in Howe’s dynamic and engaging work. The exhibition will be on view through October 6th.
Brad Howe
Brad Howe is known for his dynamic, colorful sculptures that balance playfulness and elegance. Inspired by artists like Calder, Arp, and Brancusi, he creates both kinetic and stationary works that convey movement and vitality—even using heavy materials like steel. His work emphasizes social engagement and beauty, often appearing in public spaces and private commissions. Originally studying international relations at Stanford, Howe shifted to art after time in Brazil. He is based in Malibu, California.
Daniel Gibbings
Join us for a meet & greet with Daniel Gibbings! Daniel is one of the world's premier jewelers, whose clients include Hollywood celebrities, fashion models, and other discerning individuals that are drawn to his unique, classically inspired designs, and eye for detail. He is also a veteran adventurer whose exploits draw comparisons to Benvenuto Cellini, the famed Florentine soldier turned legendary sculptor and metalsmith.

Faherty is featuring Blythe Rhoads. Blythe is the owner, designer, and maker behind Just Short and Sweet! She makes modern geometric home decor and jewelry.
She started her business in 2019 by selling handmade geometric wreaths on Etsy. Since then she has expanded her product offerings to include crystal sun catchers and car charms, decorative plant stakes and charms, and hammered brass jewelry…modern minimalist accessories that bring joy!

Observe Amy painting dogs during the Art Walk! Amy Logsdon is a watercolor artist specializing in custom paintings and hand-illustrated “Moment Maps” — personalized artworks capturing life’s most meaningful moments. What began as a wedding gift for her sister in 2007 has grown into a full-time creative business, with clients ranging from individuals to luxury brands like Rosewood Miramar, San Ysidro Ranch, and The Boca Raton.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Kelly Clause comes from a family of naturalists, fishermen, and marine biologists—deeply influencing her connection to the California coast. With a background in international development and elementary education, her self-taught artistic journey blends creativity, learning, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Her work—ranging from watercolors and murals to design—can be found in galleries, boutiques, custom homes, medical facilities, wineries, and restaurants along the coast.

Featuring artist Cassandria Blackmore
Cassandria Blackmore is an acclaimed contemporary artist known for her innovative approach to reverse painting on glass. Raised on a self-sustaining farm in Oregon, her early exposure to process and creativity continues to shape her technique-driven work. A graduate of Pacific Northwest College of Art, she has exhibited nationally and internationally, with works held in major public and private collections including The Crocker Art Museum, The Imagine Museum, and the Portland Art Museum.
Peregrine
Featuring Artist Karen De La Peña
This accomplished artist is a multi-award-winning painter recognized for her expressive work in both studio and plein air. She received the prestigious Douglas Shively Award for Excellence at the Santa Paula Art Exhibition in both 2013 and 2014, as well as the People’s Choice Award. Her work has been exhibited widely, including the Faulkner Gallery in Santa Barbara, Olivas Adobe Gallery, and Pierpont Inn in Ventura, and is currently shown exclusively at Peregrine Galleries in Montecito.Her training includes workshops and studies with notable artists such as Dan Schultz, Aimee Erickson, and Margaret Dyer. Her work is held in private collections across the U.S. and Europe and has been featured in publications like Stitching with Beatrix Potter by Michelle Hill.

The art was chosen for the office because we wanted a local Santa Barbara artist who was authentic, quintessential Santa Barbara, with a unique look, feel & vibe.
Erika’s work embodies all of these elements and her own unique influences in each piece. Erika Carter has a huge loyal following in Santa Barbara and beyond. Her artwork is a huge part of the energy of the TMA practice, the feeling you get when you walk into our office. Everyone loves it!

Ralph Waterhouse
After a successful career in graphic design, Ralph turned his focus to painting—first capturing the wildlife and landscapes of England’s Lake District, then later the golden light of California’s coast. Internationally recognized, his work has been featured in major publications, on BBC Television, and in exhibitions across the U.S. and Europe. Ralph paints both en plein air and in studio, aiming to capture the peaceful beauty of nature. He has received numerous awards, public commissions, and was honored to present a painting to Margaret Thatcher on behalf of the British Consul. A founding member of the Santa Barbara Art Dealers Association, Ralph currently co-chairs the California Art Club’s Central Coast Chapter with his wife and business partner, Diane.
Derek Harrison
Derek Harrison is a realist artist known for his dramatic figurative and landscape paintings. Recognized early in his career by Southwest Art Magazine’s “21 Under 31,” he has since earned numerous awards, including multiple ARC Salon finalist honors and two consecutive 1st place wins at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. His work has appeared in film and television, and he teaches at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art and Westmont College. Through his art, Derek aims to evoke emotion and inspire lasting connection.
Frank Serrano
Frank Serrano is recognized as one of today’s leading painters of the Western landscape. Based in California’s Owens Valley, he is known for capturing the dramatic light and atmosphere of the American West with remarkable depth and emotion. Influenced by master artists like Maynard Dixon and Frank Tenney Johnson, Frank has developed a distinctive plein air style since beginning his career in 1993.
A signature member of the historic California Art Club, Frank has been featured in top publications including Art of the West, Plein Air Magazine, and Southwest Art. In addition to his studio work, he is a passionate educator, author of Plein Air Painting in Oil, and has produced instructional DVDs. His expertise even led to a collaboration with Disney Animation Studios, advising on painting techniques for 3D film. His work is widely exhibited and collected across the country.
Wunderkind
